Acupuncture is the BEST at treating pain.

There is a beautiful Chinese saying, “If there is free flow, there is no pain; if there is pain, there is no free flow.”

Stuck “Qi” in your body is like a traffic jam. Where there is traffic, there is pain. Unblocking that jam allows for the free flow of energy in your body.

Enjoy your life. Get back in action. Start moving and feel good about it.

Long Lasting Relief

One of the best things about acupuncture is that it can get you out of pain quickly. Coupling consistent treatment with a plan for improvement will lead to the long-term relief you’ve been seeking!

We like to create a team of body workers who have the best ability to help you. This can be anyone from a PT, chiropractor, massage therapist, visceral manipulation therapy, water therapy, pelvic floor PT, myofascial release treatment, lymphatic drainage, and more! Getting you in the right hands will only accelerate your healing.

We want to do anything we can to avoid surgery and expensive drugs that have little effect or create habituation. Certainly, there are some injuries that cannot be remedied without these things, but we want it to be the absolute LAST resort.

Our body naturally wants to heal itself. Getting to the root of your issue will help your body break the pain cycle so you can start using 100% of your body’s innate healing capacity.

Treating the symptoms of your pain while getting at the root cause of why it started in the first place is our top priority. It’s so depressing when you just can’t seem to break the cycle. Using local and distal points along with adjunct therapies like fire cupping, gua sha, light therapy, herbal remedies, and moxibustion will only get you pain-free quicker.

We have had amazing success treating a wide variety of pain:

  • Sciatica

  • Low back pain

  • Neck and shoulder pain (or “tech neck” as we like to call it)

  • Headaches/migraines

  • Shoulder pain

  • Knee pain

  • Arthritis, Osteoarthritis, and Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA)

  • Sports injuries or Motor Vehicle Accidents (MVAs)

  • Muscle strains and sprains

  • Concussions

  • Neuropathy

  • Plantar fasciitis

  • Carpal tunnel syndrome or Dupytren’s

  • Tennis elbow and/or Golfer's elbow

  • Tendonitis and bursitis

  • Chronic and acute pain anywhere in the body

  • Fibromyalgia

  • And more!

Dry Needling, Trigger Release, or Motor Point Needling

We get this question all the time, “What’s the difference between dry needling and acupuncture?” In all honesty, there really isn’t much difference. Both involve administering needles in the body, the difference lies in the training required to do both.

Acupuncturists and Traditional Chinese Medicine practitioners go to school for four years, obtain thousands of hours of clinical practice and study, and become state and nationally certified in the practice of acupuncture. We learn complex meridian systems in the body that help circulate and move your pain in a more comprehensive way than just sticking a needle into a tight muscle.

You’ll often see PTs and Chiropractors offering dry needling. What they are doing is not inherently wrong, it is just limited. In terms of lasting pain relief, JUST doing dry needling won’t be enough. They complete weekend workshops to learn motor points on the body that are focused mostly on large muscle groups. We know plenty of PTs and Chiropractors who do a great job at this, but in our experience, more comprehensive understanding of meridian, muscle, nerve, and fascial pathways is required.

WE HAVE MANY TOOLS TO USE TO HELP YOU WITH PAIN

If you’ve tried dry needling and it was “so painful,” then you should try dry needling with a licensed acupuncturist. Dry needling coupled with other body acupuncture points and even some fire cupping will release tight muscles, improve joint mobility, increase muscle elasticity, and reduce inflammation.
