Most people seek out facial acupuncture treatments because they want a holistic approach to rejuvenated skin without paying for harmful chemicals that get injected into the skin that can leave damaging, lasting effects.

1. In order to improve facial tone, sagging skin, wrinkles, and elasticity we start with facial needles on specific channels to not only improve collagen-production, but to affect the energetics of the organ channel they are on.

2. After needles are inserted on your face and body, the high-powered, medical-grade Celluma Light is placed over the face for the duration of treatment, using protective goggles to keep you comfortable.

3. After letting the needles rest for 20-30 minutes, enjoy a relaxing facial cupping and gua sha treatment using organic, and natural serum and facial oil, followed by a cooling jade roll and face mist.

This is still a full body treatment! We will do a full intake during your first session so we can address any internal disharmonies that may be contributing to your skin health. You will still receive needles in your body to keep you grounded before we treat your face and scalp.

A microneedling treatment is unlike any other treatment we'll do here at Firewood Acupuncture. No needles will be placed in the body, instead, you'll only receive microneedling to the areas of the body we agree upon.

1. We'll begin with you laying comfortably on the table (heated or unheated). We'll quickly clean your face with Micellar Water then we'll apply a thick layer of MasterNumb on the areas that will be receiving microneedling.

2. While the MasterNumb is doing it's work, we'll place the medical-grade, high-powered Celluma Light over your face for 20-30 minutes to receive the unmatched benefits of red and blue light therapy.

3. I'll re-enter the room and gently clean off the MasterNumb and then apply a thick layer of hyaluronic acid in successive layers as we begin to microneedle the face, neck, chest, scalp, etc.

4. Once the microneedling is complete. we'll wipe down your face with facial cloths and place a cooling Biocellulose mask over your face to reduce any stinging and to calm redness.

5. Lastly, another thick layer of hyaluronic acid will be applied to send you on your way!

I recommend coming in once a month for 3-6 treatments, depending on the areas of concern. Commitment to your treatments is crucial for lasting results. After your successive treatments, you may return for maintenance treatments as needed until desired results are met.

Unlike chemical peels and laser treatments, microneedling does NOT burn the top layer of your skin. The microneedling itself will only take about 10-15 minutes and you will be red and puffy the rest of the day.

It is very common for fine lines and wrinkles to look more pronounced after the session, but this effect will dissipate and you will see noticeable differences after only one session. The cumulative effect of sessions is quite powerful with this type of facial therapy, so consistency is absolutely key.

If you are planning a big event where your gorgeous face needs to be on display, do NOT book your session same day or even same week as recovery time will vary individually.

—> AVOID makeup, sunscreen, and sweating for the remainder of the day. You may ONLY use the hyaluronic acid that will be provided to you at the end of the treatment for 24 hours.
