SPLEEN SIX —> SANYINJIAO (SAN-YIN-JOW)
Spleen Channel:
Beginning on our big toe, this channel ascends the inner leg, up to our torsos, and ends at our outer ribcage.
Location: On the inside aspect of the lower leg, 4 finger breadths length from the tip of the ankle in a depression close to the inner crest of the tibia bone.
ACTIONS:
Tonifies the Spleen and Stomach
Resolves Dampness (congested fluids)
Harmonizes the Liver and tonifies the Kidneys
Regulates menstruation and induces labor
Regulates urination and benefits the genitals
Calms the Spirit by invigorating the Blood
INDICATIONS:
—> Heavy feelings in the body and legs with edema, diarrhea, and undigested food in the stool
—> Abdominal distention
—> Irregular or painful menstruation with thick menstrual clots, cysts, or other obstructions
—> Uterine bleeding or incontinence, difficult or slow urination, weak or painful urination
—> For men: night time emissions, sexual hyperactivity, impotence, pain in the penis or contracted testicles
—> Heart palpitations with insomnia
—> Dizziness, blurred vision, tinnitus (ear ringing)
—> Leg cramping or pain with cold hands and feet
METHOD:
Find the point on your body and massage in a clockwise direction for 10-15 seconds. Take a big deep breath. Then massage in a counterclockwise direction for 10-15 seconds. Repeat these steps for 5-10 minutes, or until you begin to feel better.
