SAN JIAO SIX —> ZHIGOU (JIR-GO)
San Jiao Channel (san-jee-ow) Channel:
Sometimes called the Triple Burner Channel, this meridian is akin to our inner irrigation system, so that all fluids have a safe and clear path to travel in our bodies. It originates on the outside of our ring finger, travels up the tops of our arms, over our shoulders, into our neck, wrapping all the way around our ear, and ending at our lateral eyebrow.
Location: Four fingerbreadths above the center of the wrist on the top of the arm between the radius and ulna bones closer to the radius bone (thumb-side).
ACTIONS:
Regulates and clears Heat from the whole body
Benefits the chest
Moves the stools
Benefits the voice
INDICATIONS:
—> Constipation
—> Tinnitus (ear ringing), sudden loss of voice, lockjaw, pain in the eyes, and swollen throat
—> Sudden heart pain and heavy chest
—> Pain in the armpits, shoulder, arm, and back
—> Hand numbness or hemiplegia
METHOD:
Find the point on your body and massage in a clockwise direction for 10-15 seconds. Take a big deep breath. Then massage in a counterclockwise direction for 10-15 seconds. Repeat these steps for 5-10 minutes, or until you begin to feel better.
